A – Ant – “Consider the Ants” – Proverbs 6:6-8

We can learn from the ants and become wise. Ants do their work even when they don’t have someone telling them what to do or checking on them.

B – Bee – “God’s Masterpiece” – Psalm 139:14-16

God loves you and knows you. He created you for a purpose. You are special and have a special job to do for God.

D – Dog – “Beware of the Dogs” – Proverbs 26:17

Don’t get involved in someone else’s fight or you may be sorry. And don’t get others involved in your fights.

E – Elephant – Pink Elephants? – Phil. 2:14-15

Jesus wants them to be an example to others. They should not always follow the crowd but be a beacon and stand out so that others will see Jesus shining through their lives.

F – Flamingo “Changing” – 2 Cor. 3:18

When we accept Jesus as our Savior we become a brand new person inside. Our sins are forgiven and we start a new life in Christ.

G – Grasshoppers and Giants – Numbers 13 and 14

Sometimes we feel like grasshoppers in a world of giants. When we feel this way we should remember everything that God has done for us.

H – Hen – “Under His Wings” – Psalm 91:4-5a

God protects us like a mother bird protects her chicks. We don’t have to be afraid because we can trust in him.

I – Inchworm – “God’s Love is Immeasurable” – Is. 46:9

We can’t measure God’s love. There is nothing to compare to his love. It is higher than the heavens, everlasting, never fails, and is priceless. Only his love is perfect.

J – Junco – “Make a Joyful Noise” – Psalms 98:4

All creation is like a symphony praising God for who He is and what He does.

K – King Snake – “King of Kings – Rev. 17:14

Jesus was also killed and rejected because the people didn’t understand who he was. But he proved that he is King of kings and Lord of lords by arising from the dead.

L – Ladybugs – “Ladybug Friends” – Gal. 5:13 

Jesus helped many people. He was sent to save the world. We should follow Jesus’ and the ladybug’s example. We should be ladybug friends.

M – Mosquito – “What Kind of Friend are You?” – Job 27:4

True friends are helpful, not harmful. “My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit.” Job 27:4

N – Night Crawler – “Go Fish” – Matthew 4:19

Children learn what it means to be a “fisher of men” and are given examples of how to “fish for men”.

O – Owl – “Be Wise” – Proverbs 2:6

Receiving good grades and studying in school is important, but wisdom and understanding come from God.

P – Pig – “The Big Mistake” – Luke 15:11-31

Using the story of the prodigal son, children learn that God is a kind and forgiving God.

Q – Quail – “Manna Again!” – Numbers 11:4-10

God wants us to be happy with what we have. He provides for all our needs. He wants us to be thankful for everything he gives us.

R – Raven – “Elijah and the Birds” – Philippians 4:19

God gives us everything we need. Children learn how God took care of Elijah; and that he takes care of us.

S – Sheep – “The Lost Sheep” – Luke 15:3-7

When you ask God to forgive you for the bad things you do and ask him into your heart, he is so happy. God, and all the angels in heaven, celebrate and have a party.

T – Turtle – “God is Always With Us!” – Hebrews 13:5

God is always with us. He made us and knew us before we were born.

U – Underwing Moth –  Matthew 5:14-16

Children learn about Underwing moths and how they are attracted to lights. Jesus called himself the light of the world. Thousands of people were attracted to him.

V – Vole – “Glory of God” – Psalm 19:1

We can’t see God, but we can know he exists because we can see all the wonderful things He created.

W – Water Strider – Matt 14:22-27, Mark 6:45-51

When we keep our eyes on Jesus instead of focusing on our problems, God will give us the strength we need to face our fears.

X – X-ray Fish – Psalms 139:1-6

God can see everything, He knows what we are thinking and how we feel. He sees us when we are mad or sad. He sees everything we do and knows everything we think and he loves us anyway.

Y – Yak – “Yackety Yak” – James 1:19

The Bible teaches us to be swift to hear and slow to speak. When we listen to others instead of talking about ourselves, we show them that we care about them.

Z – Zorilla – “Beware of the Zorilla!” – Psalm 34:14

The zorilla warns us to stay away when we get too close. The Bible also gives us warnings to protect us from the consequences of sin.
